LIVE VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION,

NOW IN A GROUP GATHERING

Global Bowspring is a dynamic movement method created by Desi Springer and John Friend. It works with the natural curves of the spine, creating a way of standing and moving that brings more lift and responsiveness into the body.

At its foundation, Bowspring is an alignment model that promotes balanced engagement through the entire fascial network rather than isolated muscle contraction. The result is a body that feels integrated and energized, where strength and mobility are not separate but working together. Over time, it becomes something you carry into your everyday life, not just something you practice on a mat.

For many of us, this work began at home through virtual practice. What grew from that was a desire to experience it together, to feel the energy of shared movement, and to build something rooted in community here in Waco.

The Collective exists to bring this work into a shared space, where the practice deepens not only through the movements themselves, but through being in it alongside other women.

COLLECTIVE MODEL

This is more than just movement or exercise, it’s more than a playdate, it’s more than a like-minded meetup.

It is a rhythm. A place your body begins to recognize. Each time you come back, something builds. More awareness, more strength, more capacity to stay present in your life.

You don’t need to be at a certain level or in a certain season. You just need to come as you are.

Together we share our experiences and transformations, supporting each other through the practice in our daily lives.

BOWSPRING

Bowspring is a way of moving that invites your body into a feeling of expansion on all sides.

It works with your body’s natural curves rather than forcing alignment. Strength builds from the inside. Openness happens authentically.

It often feels different than anything you’ve tried, in a way that rewards your life in more ways than just physically.

Often, there is a psychological resistance to starting a Bowspring practice. Bow is actually all about resistance - finding your edge and expanding through it.

Women of all seasons benefit hugely from Bow, not just mothers. Our bodies are designed to be curvy and dynamic.

If you are planning to welcome a pregnancy or currently pregnant this is the ideal time to begin to integrate the posture.

THE REGULAR PRACTICE EXPERIENCE

You come in as you are, not to perform.

The movement meets you there and gradually shifts how you feel. Your body warms, your breath deepens, and you begin to open from the strength inside of you.

This begins a deep integration of a movement practice in your body that transforms your longevity, vitality, and confidence. It repatterns painful patterns, both physical and emotional. It teaches you that you can hold yourself, rather than life feeling heavy.

In this rhythm there is more clarity, more steadiness, and a sense that you’ve actually been nourished, not just worked.

BRING YOUR MOTHERHOOD

We meet with our children because they are our greatest mirrors, showing us patterns that are actually expressed in ourselves.

You don’t have to choose between showing up for yourself and being with your child. In fact, this can deepen your expansion even more.

Babies can stay close, nurse, move and explore or simply rest while you move. Older children are welcome in a way that respects the space without expecting perfection.

This is a space where motherhood is included, not worked around.

Come back to your body. Build strength that feels alive.

Stay connected to yourself without stepping away from your life.

The Waco Bow Collective is a weekly gathering of women in all seasons of life to move in a way that supports their vitality and expands their capacity.

We gather on Mondays at 2pm at the Carleen Bright Arboretum, beginning April 13th.
